Alaska Trip 1999 | The Dating Years
Escort (February
2002)
Nick
and his Escort on the day we donated it to a charity.
Nick
bought his Escort new in 1986 and it had almost 250,000 miles on it when we
got rid of it.
Las
Vegas (Oct. 2001)
We
went to Las Vegas for Nick's birthday. This is on a bridge at the
Venetian.
This
is another view of the Venetian.
We
went into the M&M world. It's 4 floors of great M&M stuff.
This
is part of the New York, New York hotel and casino. It was great to
see that even in Las Vegas people were paying tribute to those lost on
September 11.

Alaska Trip 1999
We took a quick trip to Alaska for Memorial Day
Weekend in 1999. In Anchorage we went to a fun museum and found one of those
funny curvy mirrors.
When
we were driving around getting a look at Alaska, we came across this moose
by the roadside. He barely noticed us.
The Dating
Years
For Halloween in 1996, Connie (Alford) Sablan
and Robin hosted a dinner murder. Everyone got into it by dressing in
character.
From left to right: Forest, Nick, Angie,
Robin, Richard Houston, Marc Rose and Connie.
For Robin's birthday in 1997, Nick surprised her
with a trip to Phoenix. This picture was taken in front of Camelback
Mountain.
When we went to Phoenix, we took a day to drive
up to see the Grand Canyon. There's nothing like it in the world.
For Nick's birthday in 1998, we went spent the
weekend in Seattle. Nick's birthday is 2 days before Halloween, so we
decided to take costumes with us. We went to the local bowling alley and
convinced them to give us some bowling shoes. Then we headed to the thrift
store to find some more nerdy bowling attire. We dressed as the Bowlin'
Buddies.
We took a weekend trip to the Aquarium to see
Keiko (the whale from Free Willy) before he was transferred to Iceland. We
also got to see other kinds of wild life.
