Cedar Point (September 2000)
When
we visited Robin's parents in Indiana during the summer we took a side trip
to Cedar Point. Cedar Point is a major amusement park in northern
Ohio.
This is the Blue Streak. It was the
first roller coaster built in Ohio.
This
was taken at the top of the Magnum XL-200. This is a great ride.
It goes way out by the lake and provides a great view.
We
rode the Magnum XL-200 about 8 times during the 2 days we were there. Once
we figured out where the camera was, we showed our true selves.
This
is the Millennium Force as it comes around the last corner. In the
background you can see the drop. It's a 300 foot drop at an 80
degree angle and goes over 100 mph. We rode it 3 times. It's the
best roller coaster we've ever ridden.
Here's
Robin's mom in front of the Rapture. She didn't go on any of the
roller coasters. I guess they were too tame for her.
We
rode the Rapture twice. It's a very smooth ride.
We
took a break from the roller coasters to ride a scrambler. It made for
some great self-portraits.
